Autumn is the season of fallen leaves and walks wrapped up in a cosy jumper. The sometimes mild temperatures still make for some lovely walks, especially if you don't hesitate to explore further, particularly in the Beaujolais region.

Autumn in Lyon also means an abundance of culture and cult festivals. The Festival Lumière, Peinture Fraiche and the Villeurbanne Short Film Festival are just waiting for you... For gourmets, the Vogue des Marrons and the Salon du Chocolat are sure to delight. Because Lyon also knows a thing or two about dance. From September onwards, the Dance Biennial will alternate with the Contemporary Art Biennial in Lyon. Or perhaps you're more into sporting events? Equita, Lyon Urban Trail By Night, Nordic Walkin'Lyon and Run in Lyon are all waiting to get you running (or galloping)! So yes, in Autumn, Lyon's events of all kinds are everywhere, and we love it!
