In 2024, the Paris Opera launched its Junior Ballet, a training programme for young, international dancers aged 18 to 25. Twenty-four prodigies will perform a programme of four pieces showcasing captivating classical and neoclassical aesthetics. George Balanchine's Allegro Brillante exudes a romantic aura. Cantate 51 elevates the theme of the biblical Annunciation through Maurice Béjart's lively choreography. In Requiem for a Rose, Annabelle López Ochoa whirls the performers in pink skirts to Schubert's music. Finally, José Martinez — the current Director of Dance at the Paris Opera Ballet — pays tribute to his influences, from Marius Petipa to William Forsythe and Fred Astaire, in his piece Mi Favorita. This is a unique opportunity to experience the great repertoire performed by an exceptional cast.
