For the past 25 years, the ‘Shoe Pyramid’ has been the symbol of Handicap International’s fight to eradicate landmines and cluster munitions.
Once again this year, the Pyramids of Shoe will be dedicated to the protection of civilians from bombardment in populated areas. A political declaration against explosive weapons in populated areas was signed by 83 States on 18 November 2022, which was a major victory, but the fight is not over! It's vital that we make our progress and expectations known, so that this text can be applied in practical terms to warfare.
In Lyon, on the Place de la Croix-Rousse, the public will be able to see the flagship events such as the Pyramid, the "chaos" zone, the mural exhibition, the prosthesis and wheelchair tours, the live show... as well as a few new surprises!
