Seasonal festivities
Last updated date : 03/06/2026
On 26,27 and 28 June 2026, some 200 events reveal the rivers from a historical, cultural, scientific, sports or ecological point of view. They’re organised across three main neighbourhoods, Confluence, Guillotière and Île Barbe by over a hundred local stakeholders: non-profits, artists, municipal cultural institutions, corporate patrons, and residents. There’s a vast programme, combining family-friendly, artistic and sports activities focusing on the theme of Lyon’s rivers.

To whet your appetite for what's to come, here are some of the highlights from the 2025 event:
- Unveiling of the new Machecrôute: the legendary dragon that lives in the Rhône River in Lyon has been given a makeover for 2025.
- Big picnic in Guillotière with 'Ondine à la Guill'. Festival-goers took part in a giant picnic on Quai Augagneur, where everyone was invited to bring their own picnic basket and dine and toast in good company.
- Introduction to mermaid swimming at the Rhône swimming pool.
