Major events
Throughout the year, the Beaujolais is enlivened by colourful events (and grapes):
- Bienvenue en Beaujonomie: a wine and bistronomic festival in June where we share a bistronomic meal around a large table at one of the wineries,
- Les Vendanges musicales: the Beaujolais pop music festival, which takes place in September on the square of the Château de Charnay,
- Vignobles en Scènes: an unmissable wine event featuring tastings, cellar visits, gastronomic evenings and entertainment for children and adults,
- Beaujolais Days: the highlight of the year, organised every third Wednesday in November on the occasion of the release of the Beaujolais Nouveau. The five-day festival includes around 15 events including gourmet food markets, wine fairs and popular balls,
- The Beaujolais marathon: a weekend of sport and celebration, the highlight of the Beaujolais Days, with several races and Beaujolais tastings along the way.
