Ti’kaniki is a maloya group (traditional music from Réunion Island) based in Lyon. Active for over 10 years, the group brings together Creole and mainland musicians from diverse backgrounds. They claim a modern maloya, open to the world yet firmly rooted in tradition.

Since its creation, the group has gathered around kabars (open maloya sessions) during which they have invited many artists from Réunion (René Lacaille, Davy Sicard, Maya Kamaty…) as well as artists from other traditional musical cultures — from Africa, the Caribbean and even Europe.

With several records and international tours to their name, the group is now widely recognized in the maloya scene, including on Réunion Island.
