A timeless journey inspired by the Brazilian Coco de Roda universe. Rebecado invites you to (re)discover this music style—often kept in the shadows, but still full of life.
Before the concert, dive into Coco with a dance & singing workshop at 7pm (pay what you want – suggested €5). A great way to get a feel for it and experience all the energy of this living tradition. Special guest: Guga Santos
Coco is a poetic, musical tradition that’s sung and danced, where steady percussion patterns carry looping voices, sharing the emotions of stories from the past… and the ones still to come.
With Rebecado, expect a poetic, festive and contemporary trance.
The strings of the rabeca, berimbau, and bass ukulele highlight vocal harmonies, driven by percussion, through a repertoire mixing original creations, traditional songs, and pieces by Mestra and Mestre (Cila do Coco, Luiz Paixão, Zé Neguinho, Renata Rosa, Jacinto Silva…).
