This building used to house the soldiers of the door guards of Vaise, north of the city limits until 1852. This sixteenth century building has a courtyard on the ground floor and one first floor courtyard.

This courtyard is included in the list of 50 courtyards and traboules covered by the agreement. The Cour/Traboule Agreement, adopted in July 1990, stipulates that the City and the Urban Community contribute towards the costs of maintenance, cleaning and lighting of the premises in return for a right of public pedestrian access through these private traboules and courtyards, 365 days a year between 7 am and 7 pm. The owners also agree to allow the City to affix an explanatory information plaque at the entrance to the courtyard or traboule, and a plaque asking visitors to respect the peace and cleanliness of the premises.
Please note that some courtyards and traboules may be temporarily closed.
