La Fabuleuse Cantine is a lively café and bar located near the Jean Macé metro station, in the heart of the Cité Étic Hévéa in Lyon’s 7th district. The venue offers local, seasonal cuisine with a strong commitment to fighting food waste.
Born from a strong desire to reduce food waste, La Fabuleuse Cantine has built a tight-knit network of producers, farmers, market gardeners and social inclusion gardens. How? By buying their surplus or imperfect produce — and transforming it into dishes that are as delicious as they are environmentally respectful.
During the day, the space runs as a café, offering seasonal dishes to enjoy on-site or to take away in reusable glass jars.
From 6pm, the mood shifts: happy hour, a sharing-style evening menu, and a warm, festive atmosphere.
The extra touch? A vibrant cultural line-up from Thursday to Saturday: salsa nights, live concerts, world music, makers' markets... colourful evenings that transport you elsewhere.
And on Sundays? It’s brunch time! From 11am to 3pm, help yourself to an all-you-can-eat buffet : seasonal, local and homemade.
