Here, cuisine is passed down, shared, and constantly evolving. In the kitchen, Chef Maria Gharbi—a graduate of the Institut Paul Bocuse—creates generous dishes every day, drawing inspiration from her heritage and expertise. Out front, her brother Nicolas and the entire team welcome you with a single goal: simply ensuring you have a wonderful time.
The proximity to the water and the natural setting of the Grand Large are integral to the establishment's identity. This is reflected on the plate through dishes such as fresh frogs' legs with parsley and garlic and fried smelt, alongside a largely vegetarian menu. The daily buffet, sharing platters, and *Mazza* selection allow every guest to tailor their own dining experience.
Maison Grand Large is also a place that loves creating opportunities for people to come together. Throughout the year, the restaurant hosts themed evenings centered on cuisine, discovery, and conviviality—featuring changing themes, specially crafted menus, carefully curated décor, and entertainment to keep the enjoyment going. The aim is to offer genuine, festive, and original experiences without ever losing the elegance and authenticity that define the establishment.
An excellent wine list complements the cuisine, blending renowned labels with unique finds—including selections from the Gharbi family’s home region.
When the warm weather arrives, from May to August, Maison Grand Large also offers a refreshing waterside escape. Artisanal ice creams and fruit-rich sorbets by Glaces des Alpes round off the experience—perfect for enjoying right by the water’s edge in a soothing, natural setting.
And because Maison Grand Large is, above all, a place for bringing people together, it also hosts private and corporate events—from seminars, christenings, weddings, and birthdays to group meals—whether on the lakeside terrace or in the banquet hall, which can be reserved for up to 120 guests.
