La BF15

La BF15 is a place of production and diffusion of contemporary art.
Since 1995, exhibitions have been linked together, constituting a common history. It claims no aesthetic or intellectual line, no movement, except that of necessity, the need to seek, invite, invent, construct, produce and show, the necessity of ideas, of difference, of divergence, of irreverence, uncertainty, transformation, the need for creation and research.

At each invitation, the artists think of a specific project, in adequacy with the place and its environment. Each project is original and unique, each exhibition is unique according to the personality and work of the artist, depending on the relationship that engages with the public. Nevertheless, a thread emerges through the artists in their relationship and their acuity to the world, but also in the attention and the relation of the works to the space and to the public.

La BF15 is a place of research, a place of life, a workshop, before being an exhibition space. The artist can practice it upstream, so he can live the work in progress, consider his research in situ, make and undo his project. Exhibitions at La BF15 are often the first solo exhibitions.

In order to become common and public this perpetual questioning provoked by the new plastic and poetic languages, La BF15 ensures that its proposals are confronted with the widest public.
The invited artists are from here and elsewhere, young and old, unknown, unknown and better known. This mix strengthens the identity of a common history without obsession with youthism or current. It is the reflection of our multiple world, the portrait of a large family.
