Coddy

Coddy offers 8 urban escape games in Lyon. You play outdoors as a team with the free Coddy app on your smartphone: it takes you from one stop to the next and gives you puzzles to solve along the way.

Each game has its own story and starting point. L'Affaire Walter is a kidnapping investigation from Place Saint-Jean to the Opéra. Red Nights takes you back to Lyon in 1684, from the Terreaux to the Jacobins. L'Alchimiste, inspired by real events, has you investigate a woman accused of witchcraft in 1555. Families with children from age 8 can play Peter Pan or Sauvons le Marsupilami! For a stag or hen party, there is Bachelor Challenge.

Routes are 2.5 to 4.5 km long and take 1.5 to 2 hours. There is no time slot to book: you buy a code online, receive it by email and start on the day that suits you, at your own pace. The code is valid for 3 years.

The price is €39.99 per team of 2 to 6 players, not per person. Depending on the game, the app works in French, English, Spanish, Dutch or Italian, and each player picks their own language. Players rate Coddy games 4.2/5 on average, across more than 31,000 reviews.
