Tucked away on the Lyon peninsula, Astral takes the culinary arts to new heights. Conceived by three young chefs united by a shared passion, the restaurant combines the refinement of French gastronomy with inspirations drawn from the four corners of the globe.
In an intimate 26-seat dining room, chef Ronan Lavillaugouet serves seasonal, creative and generous cooking that blends French tradition with inspiration from his travels.
The menus follow the course of the sun: À l'Aube, a four-course lunch menu at €39 (Friday to Sunday), then in the evening Crépuscule (four courses, €60), Équinoxe (six courses, €90) and Zénith (eight courses, €120). Wine pairing €60, alcohol-free pairing €50, drawn from a cellar of almost 300 wines. Allow 1 hour 30 to 2 hours at the table.
Beneath the dining room, a vaulted cellar can be booked privately from four guests, every opening day for lunch and dinner, Sundays included, around a Beef Wellington to share (set menus from €52 to €80).
Astral holds two toques from Gault&Millau (14.5/20) and is rated 4.9/5 on Google. Open Wednesday to Sunday, with lunch and dinner on Saturdays and Sundays.
