In 2009, Marché de Gros Lyon-Corbas replaced the former Marché Gare in Perrache. It is France’s leading private wholesale market specialised in fresh fruit and vegetables, which handles more than 305,000 tonnes of goods.

Each year, Marché de Gros de Lyon-Corbas serves more than 2300 clients, mainly located in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. 25 wholesalers and 60 passionate producers work daily to satisfy the needs of their clients, on a 12-hectare site.

The 35,000 m² of buildings include the following:
- A 3000 m² market floor for the 60 producers;
- Two buildings covering a total of 32,000 m² for the operations of 25 wholesalers;
- A sorting centre accessible to the site’s users that recycles more than 75% of the waste.

An exemplary player in the fruit and vegetable sector and a frontrunner among European wholesale markets, Marché de Gros de Lyon-Corbas has established a quality and traceability system certified by ‘FeL Partenariat’ and ‘FeL Excellence’, both official procedures approved by the French health authorities.
