The Nutcracker – A Magical Ballet

The magical ballet The Nutcracker makes its traditional return to the stage this winter. It is a true masterpiece of music and choreography! On Christmas Eve, little Marie receives a nutcracker from her uncle. At night, the toys come to life and begin to move, and the little girl is swept up in a whirlwind of extraordinary adventures. This will be the French premiere of the British Festival Ballet, led by Yassaui Mergaliyev, an exceptional dancer who won the gold medal at the prestigious Varna International Ballet Competition, honoured by the Government of Kazakhstan for his artistic career, and by Sophie Mergaliyev, a former dancer with the Royal Swedish Ballet. The refined style, the traditions of the Vaganova school and the technical prowess of the English school make this young company one of the most successful touring companies today.
