An evening brimming with sound and movement, where dance and music merge to create a trance-like state.
Mathilde Monnier enjoys forging artistic collaborations beyond the realm of choreography. Whether with jazz musician Louis Sclavis, writer Christine Angot, philosopher Jean-Luc Nancy or singer Philippe Katherine, these artistic collaborations give rise to performances in which dance is listened to, written, contemplated and enchants! For her new work, entitled *Silence*, the leading choreographer of the 1980s has teamed up with musician Lucie Antunes, a graduate of the Lyon National Conservatoire of Music and Dance, to create a fully choreographed concert. Together, they present a musical piece in an original form for nine performers, seeking to induce an altered state of consciousness that transforms dance into a trance. Silence promises to make quite a splash amongst the season’s most eagerly awaited productions!
