La Maison de la danse is delighted to welcome Saša Asentić for the first time. For over twenty-five years, he has been developing a unique body of work, notably with the artists of the Per.Art group, which he founded in Novi Sad, Serbia. Its members, some of whom live with a disability and some who do not, reinterpret the founding myths that run through major contemporary choreographies. In this *Sacre*, far from the figure of the sacrificial victim, as it might appear in Diaghilev’s Ballets Russes version, it is instead a Chosen One, as the embodiment of the Survivor, who is presented. Drawing on their individual qualities, the performers take the audience on an unforgettable journey between theatre and dance – graceful and sensitive, carefully designed to be accessible to everyone.
