A long-awaited debut for the renowned Xiexin Dance Theatre! Xie Xin, a leading choreographer in contemporary dance in China, has skilfully blended his Western artistic experiences with his own cultural heritage. The result is a fluid, elegant and poetic choreographic language. To mark the company’s tenth anniversary, it presents a diptych, In Satie & The Rite of Spring, bringing together the iconic scores of two great composers, Erik Satie and Igor Stravinsky, whilst inviting the audience to reflect on the cycle of life. On stage, twelve performers bring the music to life with virtuosity and slowness, power and delicacy, perfection and abstraction. An intensely emotional journey guaranteed!
