The circus has always drawn inspiration from other art forms to reinvent itself. This is precisely what director Coline Garcia does within her own company, founded around ten years ago. For this new production, she combines skateboarding with acrobatics, two disciplines predominantly practised by men. Whilst exploring the place of women in these sporting and artistic practices, she develops a shared choreographic and acrobatic language based on leaping, falling and sliding. In collaboration with playwright Alice Carré and choreographer Pierre Rigal, *Hyperboles* explores new artistic paths, each of which demands exceptional physical performance.
