LA)HORDE dares to do it all. From showcasing leading figures in contemporary dance such as Lucinda Childs, to exploring traditional Georgian dances, and even choreographing Angèle’s latest music video. At the helm of the Ballet National de Marseille, the collective harnesses the remarkable physical versatility of the company’s thirteen dancers to challenge established narratives. In their latest production, the floor collapses, silhouettes are distorted, and age boundaries blur. Through slam, pogo and mosh pits, bodies collide, fall and rise again, bringing to life the monsters of our society of care, self-worship and information overload. What remains, then, is a space in which to look at one another and, perhaps, to change.
