Cloud Gate, one of Asia’s most famous contemporary dance companies, returns with a masterful choreographic work that is as much a treat for the ears as it is for the eyes!
On an empty stage, the dancers seem to be swept up by invisible waves. A brush, a pulse, a breath… Movement surges forth, instinctively. *All Ears* shifts the focus, and the choreography is embodied through listening. As if attuned to a secret score, the bodies sense, absorb and resist. Around them, sounds, lights and mist create a shifting landscape; the Taiwanese company’s speed leaves a lasting impression. Following *13 Tongues*, which was staged here in 2020, Cheng Tsung-lung, artistic director of Cloud Gate, once again transforms the Maison’s stage into a total experience, a sensory trance where sound takes shape and flows through us.
