The exhibition explores the practical relationships we have with other animals in the age of globalisation. Throughout the exhibition, more than 330 objects and specimens interact with visual and audio works.
Over 330 ethnographic objects and natural history specimens from all five continents engage in dialogue with works of art, in an attempt to shed light on contemporary paradoxes.
The exhibition unfolds around colourful furnishings that reveal a natural material reminiscent of straw. Drawings of immense animal chimeras, inhabited by human silhouettes, as well as audio biographies of animals and accounts of historical controversies surrounding animal issues, invite visitors to consider a variety of perspectives. By focusing on the ways in which certain species inhabit the world and by presenting examples of intelligently shared territories, the exhibition outlines some possibilities for coexistence with other animal species.
