At the foot of the Pink Tower, in the heart of the Old Lyon, from MAY to NOVEMBER, Brochier Soieries opens the doors to its educational mini silkworm farm for free. Discover the life cycle of the silkworm, from the hatching of caterpillars to butterflies.
The complete cycle can be seen beginning with mid-June, from the hatching of the caterpillars to the spinning of the cocoons and the exit of the butterflies from the cocoons, passing through the 5 stages of the silkworm and even unwinding cocoons.
Visits are free of reservation and free of charge during store hours, except during guided tours (closed curtains).

Bombyx eggs are available on request for educational breeding at home or in schools. They can also be ordered on the website in April and in September: https://www.brochiersoieriesvieuxlyon.com/le-ver-a-soie.
