Last updated date : 10/07/2025
In this small museum, Guignol is king! You will discover the history of Guignol, by whom it was invented, when and why, through a wide collection of puppets and other unique items bearing the image of small wooden Lyon.
An audio guide and Guignol himself tell the story of this puppet that has traveled the world.
Created around 1808 by Laurent Mourguet, Guignol quickly became a favorite with the people of Lyon, thanks to his satirical commentary on daily life at the time and a cast of colorful characters, like his best friend Gnafron, who shares his adventures and his taste for good things!
Visit duration: 30 minutes.
