East of the metropolis

To the south-east of Lyon, the Porte des Alpes has many major outdoor leisure facilities. There are also huge parks and green spaces for a peaceful, relaxing break.

New activities in a natural setting

This weekend, try some new outdoor activities... Head to the Porte des Alpes ! For adults, there is an 18-hole golf course in Chassieu and the Parilly hippodrome in Bron, where many horse races are held. For children, the Wakoo Park leisure centre in Vénissieux has various facilities covering some 6000 m². Lastly, thrill-seekers can take an introductory flight lesson at the Lyon-Bron aerodrome, experience an indoor free fall simulation at iFLY in Saint-Priest, or play a game of outdoor paintball at Paintball Nature in Mions.

A break in the country

Covering 178 hectares, P arc de Parilly is an attractive green and wooded space, which also offers leisure facilities, with games areas and sports grounds. More traditional, the French-style gardens in the grounds of Saint-Priest Château are spacious and pleasant. For those who appreciate history, a walk in the country can be combined with a visit to the fort de Bron.

On Wednesday and Sunday mornings, the organic food market of Bron offers an excellent selection of local produce.
