The fountain was created in December 1885 by Gaspard André (1840-1896), to whom we also owe the Théâtre des Célestins. It is made from white marble and shows Philibert Delorme or de l’Orme, Guillaume Coustou, Gérard Adrab and Hippolyte Flandrin.
