The Medieval Village of Pérouges and the Bugey Region
Visiting the medieval village of Pérouges, 40km north-east of Lyon, named one of the most beautiful villages in France by the ‘Plus Beaux Villages de France’ association, is like stepping back in time. Le Lac d’Aiguebelette

Le Parc Naturel Régional du Pilat
Only an hour away from Lyon (to the south), the Pilat Regional Natural Park, straddling the departments of Loire and Rhône, has spectacular scenery and a rich biodiversity. Keen walkers and nature lovers will love this park, with its mountains, vineyards and picturesque villages. Hike up to Pilat’s peaks (including Crêt de la Perdrix, Crêt de l’Oeillon, and Les Trois Dents) for breathtaking views that will make you feel like you’re on top of the world.
