Último helecho

A strange rocky formation sets the scene: presented during the Lyon Dance Biennale, Último helecho is a historical, fantastical, and above all, subterranean journey.
Its roots lie in the vibrant folklore of Argentina and Peru, in its music and dances that bear the scars of violence and resistance. Director Nina Laisné brings together dancer François Chaignaud and Argentine singer Nadia Larcher to unearth the layers of this memory.
Surrounded by six musicians, they merge this heritage with the Baroque repertoire, deeply embedded in rhythms, songs, melodies, and gestures. The contemplation of these remnants gives way to the awakening of a primal force, to metamorphosis and transcendence.
Beneath the earth, in mineral depths, emerges the possibility of a dialogue between epochs and continents. A place beyond reality where dreams, uncharted ways and illusion can burst forth at any moment.
