What if we were to look at the frame as much as the work of art it is meant to house and enhance? Alexander Vantournhout explores this idea through a series of performances set within various frames scattered throughout the heart of the park, conceived as so many new playgrounds. The choreographer and his three partners climb and hang from them, engaged in a quest for balance based on the cooperation of their bodies. Frames offers unique perspectives – from the front, the side and even from below – on these danced installations, setting the imagination free for a singular moment of poetry within the public space.
