Ti’kaniki is a maloya group (traditional music from Réunion Island) based in Lyon. Active for almost 10 years now, the band brings together Creole artists and musicians from mainland France with diverse backgrounds.

They stand for a modern version of Maloya: open to the world while staying deeply rooted in tradition.

From the beginning, the group has grown around kabars (open Maloya sessions), inviting many artists from Réunion such as René Lacaille, Davy Sicard, Maya Kamaty, as well as performers from other traditional music scenes across Africa, the Caribbean, and even Europe.

With several albums released and international tours under their belt, the group is now widely recognized in the Maloya scene — including in Réunion itself.
