British rock heroes for 45 years, Simple Minds play their cult album New Gold Dream in its entirety, followed by a selection of their greatest hits.
When the charismatic Jim Kerr's band debuted in 1979, their songs were in the cold, experimental new wave vein of David Bowie's albums. New Gold Dream (1982), which struck a balance between this research and a more pop style of writing, opened the door to international success, which has never been denied, with over 60 million records sold to date. Simple Minds retrace this path over the course of an evening, first playing their 1982 classic in its entirety and then - after an interval - an unstoppable best of.
