Iron Maiden

Formed in East London in 1975, Iron Maiden has become much more than just a band over the last 50 years — it's a global institution!

Their rise began with their 1980 debut album, followed by the legendary The Number of the Beast (released two years later with Bruce Dickinson on vocals), which paved the way for a decade of unprecedented success, including classic albums, marathon tours, and legendary concerts such as Live After Death and Donington in 1988.

Remaining true to their creative independence and their audience, Iron Maiden have built an uncompromising career, playing everywhere from behind the Iron Curtain in Poland in 1984 to China in 2016, and constantly pushing the boundaries. Even during the difficult period for metal in the 1990s, they continued to innovate, experiencing an unprecedented revival in 1999 with the return of Bruce Dickinson and guitarist Adrian Smith.

The 2000s marked a new golden age: Brave New World, Dance of Death and A Matter of Life and Death, followed by global tours aboard their Ed Force One plane, piloted by Dickinson himself. In 2016, The Book of Souls — their first double album — confirmed that their ambition had remained intact over the years.

From Legacy of the Beast in 2018 and Senjutsu in 2021 — the latter reaching number one in 27 countries — to the Future Past tour in 2023 and 2024, Iron Maiden continues to surprise and move audiences. This is particularly notable given the departure of drummer Nicko McBrain after a 42-year career.

Today, Iron Maiden is continuing its incredible journey with the 'Run for Your Lives' tour (2025–26), accompanied by an official book and documentary. Striving always for new heights, the band continues to celebrate its past while writing the future, thus confirming its status as a living heavy metal legend.
