Established at the start of the 20th century, the Pentecost Boules Tournaments are part of Lyon’s sporting and popular heritage. Long held at Place Bellecour, they have left their mark on generations of players and spectators and remain today one of the major events on the national boules calendar.

In 2026, the Pentecost Boules Tournaments will take a decisive step forward with a clear ambition: to once again become a major popular festival in Lyon – visible, accessible and unifying – whilst maintaining high sporting standards.

Beyond the sport itself, the Pentecost Boules Tournaments aim to offer a festive village:

Partner and exhibitor areas
A historical stand tracing the history of the tournament
Official merchandise area
Entertainment for the general public

The 5 venues:
- Parc de la Tête d’Or
- Boulodrome Dardilly
- Dardilly Le Paillet
- Champagne-au-Mont-d'Or
