Les Puces du Canal Anniversary Weekend

For over 30 years, the Puces du Canal has been one of the finest destinations for antiques and second-hand goods in the Lyon region, based in Villeurbanne. This October weekend, it is celebrating what has always been its strength: the quality of its traders, the wealth of its finds and the whole region’s attachment to this unique venue.

Four themed areas dedicated to antiques, second-hand goods, design, art and upcycling await you, with 200 permanent traders, 400 pop-up stallholders and 7 on-site restaurants.

Anniversary weekend programme

• Thursday 1 October, 7.00 am–1.00 pm — Traders’ grand opening
Open to all shoppers, this grand opening kicks off the anniversary weekend. It’s the perfect opportunity to come and hunt for bargains from day one amongst the many exhibitors offering antique furniture, antiques and vintage items.

• Saturday 3 October, 7.00 am–1.00 pm and Sunday 4 October, 7.00 am–3.00 pm — Events, exhibitions and pop-up shops

Workshops and demonstrations with the traders
- Estelle (Fox Trope) — jewellery-making demonstration outside the Oeillade shop, Halle Louis la Brocante
- Sandrine-Léonie (Etsicétait) — lamp-making workshop, Traboules
- Camille Albia (Elauna Création) — introductory sewing machine workshop (venue to be confirmed)

Exhibitions
- Sandra Barrot (Village des Containers) — exhibition of her creations
- Jean-Marc, ‘Chineur du Canal’ (Village des Containers) — his finest treasures on the theme of fashion

- Théâtre de la Maison Guignol — Saturday 3 October, 10.00 am and 11.00 am

Live music
- Saturday: the Bis Repeetita choir and the Bat’Afrika brass band from Percut’Ensemble
- Sunday: the Zouz Machines and Les Krapos brass bands
