As part of the “From Our Archives” series, this exhibition pays tribute to Billy Wilder, the most American of filmmakers from Central Europe.
As a screenwriter and director, he navigated Hollywood with humor and precision. From *Sunset Boulevard* to *The Apartment*, he masterfully blended comedy and tragedy with his famously biting cynicism.
Through original posters, archival materials, and previously unseen photographs from film sets, this exhibition rediscovers Billy Wilder as a master of images and words, who saw in every film a single promise: that of a “good story.”
