The macLYON invites Giulia Andreani for a solo exhibition. Entitled Peinture froide (Cold Painting), the exhibition explores the representation of power in the 20th century, whether in wars, art, official history or marginalised history.

Bringing together more than fifty works, including paintings and watercolours in various formats, and in a setting designed especially for the exhibition, Peinture froide evokes the socially engaged subjects dear to the artist, but also the humour, often ironic, that infuses her works. A monumental, previously unseen painting embodies the culmination of her research for the exhibition and confirms Giulia Andreani's now unassailable place among the major artists of her generation.
