Located in Lyon’s traditional silk-making district on the slopes of the Croix-Rousse hill, our shop offers a huge choice of items, traditionally printed in our workshop including ties, breast pocket handkerchiefs, shawls, headscarves, muslin, scarves.
On the ground floor, printers are busy working around long printing tables on which they stretch and pin their rolls of silk. The colours are prepared in the kitchen and the Lyon-style printing frames are ready for printing the next silk squares. Squares, shawls and scarves are displayed upstairs next to the hand-painting tables, where shaped velvet panels and silk fabrics are painted by hand. Artist collections, the Raoul Dufy collection from the Bianchini Férier archives, and creations from the workshop are all designed in this warm and friendly place.
The workshop also offers introductory courses in hand-painting on silk and Lyon-style frame printing for anyone who is curious or passionate about silk.
