Winter…

With 425 km of pistes reaching up to 3250 m in altitude (offering the guarantee of excellent snow throughout the season!), it is the second largest ski area in the world! It is connected to the resorts of Peizey-Vallandry and La Plagne via the Vanoise Express, the world’s largest cable car, which crosses the valley at a height of 384 m in 3.45 minutes!

This avant-garde sports resort is at the cutting edge of innovation

Boasting excellent facilities and WiFi access, it is perfect for inveterate Smartphone users, while experienced sportspeople and beginners have a variety of slopes to choose from – not to mention the Rodeo Park ramps that acrobats will love! There are also many ski bars with terraces to enjoy a drink in the sun and a Wellness Centre for a bit of pampering.

Nature lovers will also not be disappointed…

Near Peizey, you can enjoy cross-country skiing, snowshoe hikes, rambling or sled dog treks, and get a chance to glimpse the rich wildlife, including ibexes, deer, stags and chamois !

And let’s not forget the après-ski!

Bars, restaurants, shopping, various activities, events and nightlife offer many opportunities for fun, food, relaxation or simply letting your hair down after a great day’s sport in the fresh air.

Summer…

Les Arcs is a lively resort during both the winter and summer!

In summer, the resort offers a multitude of sporting and other activities, including downhill biking, climbing, golf, rafting, canoeing and kayaking, canyoning, white water swimming, tennis, bathing, wellness and pampering, and more. And of course, it is possible (and recommended!) to enjoy some of the magnificent walks and hikes possible in both the Parc de la Vanoise and in the surrounding villages.

Culture

You can also visit the Baroque churches of Tarentaise and their astonishing and colourful painted motifs. Concerts are given here in the summer, during the Les Arcs classical music festival in the second half of July.

Food

And who could forget the delicious fondue savoyarde, tartiflette, croziflette and raclette, which should be a part of any holiday here, especially for skiers during the winter. Our cheeses – such as tome, reblochon, bleu de Bonneval, blue de Termignon and Beaufort d’été – are a true delight for food-lovers, as is the mountain charcuterie. Another must: the blueberry and raspberry tarts during the summer.

In July and August, in Les Arcs, during the "Mercredis de l'été" (Summer Wednesdays), we mix genres: producers' market, animations and free concert.

Lastly, the resort offers the advantage of being very easy to get to

The international station Bourg-Saint-Maurice links the resort to Paris by TGV (high-speed train), Lyon, Thalys and Eurostar. A few moments later and you can be on the funicular, already on your way to the heart of the Arc 1600 resort in seven minutes. Fantastic!
