Guided tours Presqu'ile Bellecour
Tour proposed by Lyon tourisme et Congrès

A look back at female figures who marked the city’s history

This guided tour is a chance to discover a selection of important female figures. From various backgrounds, they contributed to the prominence of their professions and arts, and even their city, through their hard work and dedication.

From Place Bellecour, accompanied by your tour guide, you will walk through the streets of the Presqu'île district as you discover women who helped shape the history of Lyon.
They include the ‘Mères Lyonnaises’, female cooks who have been a source of inspiration for Lyon’s modern gastronomic scene.

Along with these portraits of women, you will learn about local female authors who were influential in their time. Lastly, the tour ends on Place des Terreaux, after following the footsteps of major female figures of the French Resistance.
